I like to load my trailer so there is little weight on the hitch.
That is the wrong way to load my little trailer.
As it turns out, I need to pack 65% forward of the axle.
No more swinging of the trailer.

I must point out, that your new trailer's axle is placed further to the back of the trailer than on my military trailer.

But that is a very fine trailer you have there.
    Yep....proper load distribution is key.

See my comments above about pickup bed trailers. That's why they suck, because unless you stack EVERYTHING ahead of the axle its hard to get proper load distribution in them because that axle is not ideally placed.

I towed a 1/4 ton WWII Bantam (1940) trailer behind my CJ7 for years, rock solid tow. I did not even know it was there. Sized the tires so the Jeep spare would work on the trailer as well.

Like these, just a tad small. "I towed a 1/4 ton WWII Bantam (1940) trailer behind my CJ7 for years, rock solid tow. I did not even know it was there. Sized the tires so the Jeep spare would work on the trailer as well."

48"+ (50") by 6' (72") for the Grand Cherokee. Body width near 73 1/2" and rear track 62".

The truck bed trailers may also have a roll-over problem.

I had a utility trailer built to fit under my truck utility bed box by Pac West. 3500lb axle. It was a little over $1000. 4x8 bare bones without lights or floor sheeting. I'll see if I can get some pics up of the outcome so far.

Have read that, some pretty nice. Looking for something a little stronger.

Pac West has an "Jeep-Type" that is a good copy, maybe a bit low though.

For a utility trailer to also do camping duty it might work for me.

It now has a 32 gallon water tank in the lower bed. And the lower bed is now enclosed as well. $1,450.00 invested as of right now.

Has anyone made a custom BBQ / Wet Bar combo trailer?
                  Great eats, tasty drinks.

                  Cheers
