Ontario Knife Company Is No More - Acquired By Blue Ridge Knives

Evidently, this is something which went on last year, but I can't find any threads talking about it. Suffice to say that Ontario Knife Company is no longer in business. They have been taken over by Blue Ridge Knives and, it is hoped, they will continue producing at least some of the Ontario Knife models.

From July 2023... Ontario Knife Co. in Franklinville sold, 56 employees to lose jobs

They produced some of the original versions (RAT Knives) the ESEE Knives and the Blackbird SK-5, among others.

Yeah, it was on bladeforums some time back. It's a shame, and I'm curious if all of the OKC military contracts dried (it might have been just the OKC3S bayonet at this point, and USMC might have plenty at this point) up or if they are going to move production to a different company.

I believe the contracts ended over a decade ago. At least that's the way it seems in that a 'middleman' has been involved since 2018 and OKC has not been listed as the actual contractor since 2011.

56 people lose their jobs here in the USA---I wonder what country will make their knives now...?
