    Fighter plus lockback id

When I was in grad school I needed a cheap lockback for some field classes (pick at rocks/minerals, cut twine/ropes, etc.). I wound up finding this knife in a pawn shop out by Lucerne on the way to our field site.

It has held up remarkably well given the cost and I now use it as one of the knifes for Scouts to practice use, care & maintenance on. But I know absolutely nothing about the brand, model, or origins.

    Anyone familiar with the manufacturer?

    Thank you!

Try posting at the following site to get the question in front of the experts.

My first thought is that it looks similar to one if those Franklin Mint offerings, but can't really say for sure without a close look. The folks at the site referenced will likely know much, much more.
