    WTB: M1A

Looking for a good used M1A in new or good condition. I'd like to get the standard or NM version. Might consider the 16" versions.

I've got a custom built match M1A, it was SPF but I haven't heard from the supposed buyer in over a week. This M1A is a custom match rifle built by NM Armory in Strong AR, all GI or NM parts, not like the current SA factory guns. TRW bolt, op rod and trigger group; stripped receiver purchased directly from SA in Sept '98; NM heavy barrel, NM front & rear sights, NM op rod spring guide; match tuned trigger; oversized match walnut stock. Exactly 5 rnds fired through the barrel by the smith for zero and function testing. Guaranteed <0.5MOA with match ammo. Absolutely no marks or scratches anywhere on the metal or wood. Comes with leather sling and choice of two 5rnd magazines or two 20rnd GI rebuild kit. I'll also throw in a field manual reprint and Bassett Machine M14 scope mount (but don't let me know you used it on this rifle, it was born for DCM competition). You'll have to earn the Distinguished Badge yourself. This was my backup DCM rifle 10yrs ago but I went Distinguished and stopped shooting full distance. I'm looking for $2250 plus $25 shipping.

That is a mighty nice rifle but I want to stay below $2K... Not looking to do any competition... I will think about it for abit.
