I've begun collecting parts for what I believe may be my final AR build, a Palmetto State Armory KS47. If you're unfamiliar, it's a proprietary design mating a conceptually AR upper with a lower that accepts AK magazines. The bcg, lower and upper are special/proprietary, but all other parts used are standard off-the-shelf AR (trigger, stock, barrel, etc).
I managed to acquire from PSA the bcg and lower. I am missing the stripped upper. This is something PSA has been out of stock on for months. I am signed up for email alerts (which I check daily) but there's no telling when or if it'll ever be available again. The upper differs from a standard AR upper in that it is wider, which is necessary to clear the feed lips and magazine body on the AK magazine. Milling a standard upper to fit would hazardously reduce the strength of the upper's side-walls in the mag well area.
If anyone has one of these, or knows where I can get one, I'd appreciate a head's up. If you have one for offer, please contact me via PM. Thanks.
