Greetings, just joined this forum but long-time gun owner.
Now live in CA and feel the pain..
Looking for input from the experienced crowd on the following:
I'm pretty set on a Sig P226 Elite Stainless. Would like the 40 cal over the 9mm but only if there aren't any cons that would outweight the fun-factor of a 40 cal.
Since I live in CA, I'm looking for an offlist piece in as-new condition.
What are the pros and cons with 40 cal and 9 mm expect the obvious (# of rounds, cost, bigger holes..)
and
what are the pros and cons of German vs US made. The concensus seems to be that German made are of better and more consistent quality.
In other words, what would you recommend that I buy and why?
Use would be limited to desert trip, a few gun range trips and threatning intruders!
