This is a detailed reproduction of the Winchester M1897 (M1917) 12 gauge 'trench gun.' It is imported by I.A.C. and fires 2 & 3/4ths shells only, just like the originals. It features an American walnut stock, blued metal finish, heatshield, bayonet lug, 5 shot action, and no disconnector; again just like the originals. The M1897 was the American military's first official shotgun and was used to great effect in both WWI and WWII, because it has no disconnector it will fire as fast as the shooter can pump the action.
