WTS: I want to sell my Sig Sauer P232 that comes with 2 magazines. I have put 250 rounds down the pipe. The gun is in excellent condition and looks brand new. Asking $579 cash FTF OR BEST OFFER. I bought this gun for $780!

    Location: Inland Empire

Here are some pictures of the actual gun.

Re: WTS: p232 SL Stainless Steel $579

Consider my offer to purchase this item, here and in pm, rescinded. Good luck with your sale sir.

            10) For Sale threads need to have a price listed, if you are unsure of what you want to ask for an item list a price you think is slightly higher than what you want to get and simply state, 'willing to negotiate'. You can also add 'OBO' (Or Best Offer) after your projected price. While this means you are willing to entertain offers it is NOT a license to auction, neither does it mean that it is acceptable to take a higher offer after you have agreed to a price and a deal.

what in the world? I never even got back to you through PM and you left negative feedback. I was going to give it to you at $549. It was waY to late at night and i haven't even got enough sleep. I was going to contact you today to see if you wanted to meet up.

Please tell me you're not serious.

Your offer to buy came in 10 minutes AFTER the final edit to set the price.

In other words, unless it took you 10 minutes to write, "Yoink. I'll take it" the last edit on the For sale post was the one with the adjusted price.

You may have seen it and thought about it but timestamps say it was posted at $579.00 for ten minutes before you replied.

                  That's a negative.

The for sale post was at 3:30 am. I posted I'll take it at 4am. The price was edited around 5am, and there was an edit to my "I'll take it" post (I had typo'd "I'll rake it") shortly after that, which was when I noticed the price change.

This sequence was verified with other users who were online at the time, although at this point you would need a moderator to sort out time stamps as each post has more than one edit time.

In reality, an hour after I posted, the OP came back and changed the price. Just bad business.

I've had this happen to me once before as a buyer. In my case, seller changed price grossly after I PM'd and seller made a counteroffer. I accepted and seller ignored me and raised price (Seller is still here and was not banned but reprimanded by the Mods).

Lesson to be learned. When I post an "I'll take it" I usually say something like "I'll take it for your asking price of $XXX". If still in the negotiation process, I usually PM 1st and once the deal is made I'll post an "I'll take it for the price $XXX as discussed in PM's" or something to that effect. That way, it helps clear up any uncertainties. Going back and editing an "I'll take it" post can lead to some questioning of one's credibility as can editing a price after the deal is set in writing.

Anyways, since the OP has been banned, there is another SIG P232 on sale here being advertised by user 'Dimitri A.'

I apologize to the mods if I'm being verbose or posting out of line here, but just felt I could be of some help.

                    Regards to all.

i recommend quoting the for sale ad whenever one says "i'll take it".
