Other info: Believed to be pre 1898, was told this by the prior seller. No letter prefix before the serial number. However, I am not an expert. When I acquired the shotgun it was quite dirty and had rust/chipped lacquer across the board, so I have cleaned it inside and out and refinished the stock with danish oil and clear lacquer. Gun now locks up and ejects empty shells quite nicely. Will include 50 rounds of 28 gauge ammo for 25 dollars, which is what I paid for them. The buttstock has some chipping at the top, however I didn't feel this while firing it.
