Make: H&R
Model: Pardner Protector
Caliber: 12ga
Location (city or county): Campbell
Price: GONE
Will ship (Y/N): Y
Other info: This is an H&R Pardner Pump Protector. It is basically an H&R-Marketed version of the IAC 982 Hawk, which is in turn a Chinese-made variant of the Remington 870.
This may sound horrible, but it isn't. The real McCoy 870s have been getting increasingly more expensive to buy and the build quality has been steadily dropping, with rust issues and broken ejectors causing quite a lot of frustration. If you like that design but want to avoid these problems, you could spend $800+ on a higher-end custom shop 870 or spend $200 on this gun since it has none of those problems.
The finish is fine, it functions and shoots great. I bought it recently and still have the original box/paperwork. I am only selling it because I decided I like the battery of arms on my Mossberg better.
Also it has a metal trigger group, a receiver made out of rail steel and virtually bomb-proof furniture. I felt the factory stock was uncomfortably heavy and swapped it for a Remington one, but it is included if you want to put it back on. I'm also including 2 different Remington forends. I got them with the Remington stock but never bothered to put either on.
Capacity is 5+1, but can be boosted to 6+1 by removing a small plastic plug on the end. I believe it can take standard 870 tube extensions.
