Great-excellent condition! Bought this off a sharpshooter's brother when he passed. He was a discriminating varmint benchrest shooter and all of his rifles were tuned by famous gunsmiths, including this one. the VSSF is pretty much the highest end Remington 700 you can get. Has the HS Precision stock. This custom tuned rifle features:
LEUPOLD VX-3 6.5 - 20x with super fine varmint crosshair and sunshade, LEUPOLD bases and rings professionally lapped. This scope alone is worth $800. Please look it up!

Shilen trigger (set at a few ounces, it's a hair trigger for a professional shooter)
Blended muzzle brake (This work alone is pretty expensive. No recoil! Previous owner's brother told me you can see squirrels vaporize after breaking shot)

Original owner claims roughly a couple hundred rounds. I've never shot this - I don't have time nor the interest in such a discrimating sport like benchrest shooting. It's exhausting just reading about it. I shoot pistols 99% of the time. The hair trigger is adjustable if it's too light for you. I'm not familiar with working on R700 triggers so I never touched it. I never took action out of stock.
Must see to appreciate. This is a friggin bargain and you know it!!! Add up all the upgrades, gunsmithing, ammo, reloading extras. Any offers less than asking will be ignored. Look up the value of just the base R700 VSSF and the scope... this is NOT the cheap mass produced $500 SPS.
