No auction sale here… don’t know who was first, but I PM’d him shortly after the initial post. Paid the listing price and completed the transfer this morning. I’ve been on the other end so I feel your pain, but I hate to see someone get badmouthed who seemed like a standup guy.

Just to add. when the seller responded to me today, I asked him to Screenshot the PMs as he wasn't sure who was first. He has avoided that and not responded although I saw him looking at this thread just a few minutes ago.

For whatever reason and I can assure you it wasn’t me offering more money, he hit me back via text, we set up a time and place this morning and I purchased the firearm. The OP couldn’t have been easier to deal with. Maybe I was available to do the transfer sooner??? I dunno??? Move on… your bashing one of the few people who wasn’t trying to sell an off roster gun for 3 times it’s value.

NO one is bashing, just laying out the facts and my opinions. Obviously, I have done a lot of transactions here and this is only the second time I have experienced this, someone not being up front. I am not saying he is bad member or that he will continue to do this, but this forum is to share experiences.

Obviously, you were not first, so let's get that out of the way. Or you would have at least said you PMed prior to me, even if you don't want to share screen shots. I will take your word for it that you didn't offer more money. Yes, this is not a contract, no one was claiming it was. I also wasn't asking for your opinion but you opined with your thoughts. Great, I appreciate your thoughts. Leave a good Itrader score. I am here to just share my experience.

Seller did feel bad and might have felt he wronged me, as he offered the GLock 17 he has for sale in this forum and would 'cut me a deal' to 'make it OK'.

It maybe just for the sake of discovery. Maybe the seller is not aware of checking the post for "I'll take it", and this whole discovery helps to prevent similar instances in the future. Everyone should be able to see it's not cool if Clippers were to be standing there hand raised saying I want it, but seller looks up to see second person in line and starts transaction with second person. The seller made a mistake. If this were to happen in a store, we'd all expect the second person to acknowledge and step aside. I'm just saying....

yep, I plan to move on, just wanted to post just the short initial one unless there were additional replies. One difference with my situation is seller actually texted me soon after I PM'd him. Per my request he texted me pics as there was no pictures on the for sale post and I was texting him to plan a day and time to meet. He never indicated in any conversation that there was someone in front of me. So with me never declining any of his asks, i figured we were still good. Oh well. C'est la vie
