This Colt Super Stallion SN: 38SS269 is a Colt Gold Cup National (Super) Match in .38 Super. Only 500 were made and offered for sale around May, 1988. The instruction booklet is titled "Colt Gold Cup National Match Mark IV Series 80", and they were advertised as ".38 Super Gold Cup" and "Colt Super Stallion Gold Cup" in the ads that I have seen.

This pistol has the Ellaison adjustable sights, the top of the slide is flattened and serrated, the barrel is inscribed ".38 Super NM", it has a collet-type barrel bushing which tightly fits over the flared bull barrel, adjustable trigger, and every feature of a Colt Gold Cup National Match.

This pistol is in excellent, 98% + condition, with a pristine exterior surface showing no holster wear or any blemishes, and shiny barrel with sharp rifling visible. The frame & slide rails and exterior of the flared front of the barrel where the collet bushing slides against it show evidence of light use. The wood grips have a small vertical scratch on the left panel at 11:00 just above the medallion, and some small marks at the very rear of the right panel about 1/3 of the way from the bottom.

This pistol comes with the original Colt Super Match soft case, all original paperwork, Colt Anniversary-medallion grips (showing the head and shoulders of the pony but does not have the "150" mark; there were several variations of the Anniversary Medallions), Colt barrel bushing wrench and 3 Colt .38 Super magazines, 2 of which are stainless and appear unused and one is black/lightly used & kept in the pistol.

This pistol was bought from the original owner 11 years ago. I have fired one box of .38 Super FMJ RN through it and am extremely satisfied with its accuracy and function.

Only 500 of these were made. This is #269.

Shipping (out of CA) via FedEx Overnight insured to your FFL: $40.00. If you are going to want it shipped to your FFL (outside of CA), make sure they will accept shipment from a non-FFL individual.

**Note**: Due to CA DOJ law, this pistol cannot be shipped to any FFL within the state of California. Pistol can be sold Face-To-Face PPT in the LA area at Aegis Trading in Burbank. Buyer pays all fees.

Payment via USPS Money Order. NO Western Union or other.

Paypal is OK but buyer adds 3% fee to final value.

Note: The gold inlay in the markings on the slide is gold nail polish which was on the pistol when I bought it. The gold was uneven on the right side so I completely removed it from the slide: see photo #6. I have left it on the left side ("COLT SUPER STALLION"), since it is even and has full coverage, It can be removed at the buyer's request.
