I have received a small quanity of these books. These are "real deal" GOVt issued books NOT remakes, replicas or copies. The one in the picture is for illustration only, all the rest are new never used. This is the tube data book that you will need to submit to your builder while he builds your rifle. This is basically your guns birth certificate. This book is the guns birth cert, round count, repair and Maintenance record. If you collect or own a USMC spec rifle this book is the ultimate accessory. The books are no longer made, so getting one has proven to be difficult. The regular guy can probably get away with another means of keeping the rifles data. However, the collector and USMC SPEC rifle enthusiast understands the significance of these book. I would say if you dont own a USMC SPEC M40A1 or A3 there are better options out there, if you do own one... this is an item you will want.
