I just bought this barrel for but does not fit my new 41; this is probably for an older model? Below is the sellers description - if there are no takers soon, I'll just send it back - barrel does look new with no scratches or marks of any sort...

Smith & Wesson Model 41 7" Barrel. Only one 10 round magazine shot through it. It is factory drilled and tapped for scope mount if u want . These are very hard to come by especially the newer drilled and tapped barrels from S&W. This is new stock from S&W not one that has been sitting around, only got this 2 months ago and just shot the one mag.
