You need to have a rail with the KAC cuts to take those locking pieces.
They do NOT drop into a regular notch on a regular picatinny rail.
KAC and others put two special little cuts that those locking pieces latch into.

If you look at the first notch closest to the barrel nut on this rail, you can see that the ends of the slot are cut sideways at the ends of the slot.
All the other slots are just a single cut.

The two extra cuts (one on each side) are where the lock tabs drop into.
To install a KAC panel, you just push on the lock which spreads it open, slide it on while pushing on the lock so it does not drag on the rail and scratch the heck out of it, thren release the lock when you arrive at the first notch.

KAC handguards usually have those cuts on the very first notch and very last notch of each rail.
That asllows you to slide the panel all the way back or all the way forward and have it lock in at either position.

Is the Addax/PWS Bulldog comp the same as the PWS FSC556?

The fate of the wounded rest in the hands of the ones who apply the first dressing.

it is a variation of the PWS FSC556. it's essentially the same but the edges have been "melted" (rounded out and made a bit smoother). actually, the bulldog is supposed to work better than the PWS version.

nope, it's either going with the upper or i'm keeping it if the buyer of the upper doesn't want it.
