Several of you have contacted me asking for M40A1 bottom metal. I know it is out of stock everywhere, so I'm opening my squirrel stash for those of you who need it. This is the stash I keep for my own personal projects, its the authentic original metal as used by the USMC. I have probably about 20-30 floor plates, but I want to keep some for myself. This is NOT replica metal. It is original Winchester bottom metal. It is the higher quality thicker more durable metal as used on M40A1. This is the metal that was modified at RTE, Quantico VA on USMC M40A1. I am currently willing to let a hand full of Winchester M70 floor plates leave my collection if you guys want to complete your projects. They will need to be modified for M40A1, but can be used as is on Winchester M70 long action calibers without any modification. I don't have any spare steel trigger guards at the moment. I will likely have to make those, but I do have original floor plates.
