Make: Custom made by Ballistic Advantage (BA) Complete Upper Like (Aero Precision Company)
Model/Caliber: DI Mid-length AR-15 Upper chambered in 5.45x39. Gotta love the mid-length recoil and smooth cycling.
Design: Custom built by BA in Apopka, FL. I only put 50 rounds of non corrosive Silver Bear 60 grain ammo through it. No failure to feed issues with included ASC magazines. Magpul G3 10 rounders worked well too. Less recoil than a 5.56 with the accuracy of an AR-15 platform. Uses same bolt carrier, firing pin, bolt extractor, o-rings, pins, springs, etc. Spare parts are easy to find. In addition, no failure to feed problems with this system in 5.45, unlike the piston driven versions by Adam Arms, Huldra. See YOUTUBE reviews.
Advantages: Shoot less expensive 7N6 corrosive surplus ammo, which is still available for $200 per 1080 crate. Even non corrosive (NC) steel 5.45 is cheaper than NC steel 5.56. All vital components are nickel boron coated and/or melonited for superior corrosion resistance when shooting 7N6.
Reviews:
