    Mountain House 10 pack - $29.97 @Costco

Costco San Marcos today - saw 10 pack premium meal assortment for $29.97. Did a quick search on Amazon and showed it was $61.99. Tossed one in the cart. There were 20 more boxes on the shelf ;-)

Contains (3) Chicken Teriyaki with Rice, (2) Beef Stew, (3) Beef Stroganoff, (2) Lasagna with Meat Sauce

Haha nice. I actually work at Costco in San Marcos but rarely make it to that area. Guess I'll be shopping tomorrow.

Why is it only 6 year shelf life? i thought most of these ration stuff was supposed to be 10 to 30 years?

Not a bad deal at all, but a 6 year shelf life is not good.

Wondering the same thing. I have a few mountain house buckets in my closet that have a 25 year shelf life printed on the packaging. It's the same entrees I believe. I'll go check...

These sell individually for $6-$9 at Sports Authority/REI/Walmart. This is a great price.

Will be checking the SSF Costco on my way home. Thanks OP!

Good deal. Don't understand the 6 year shelf life though? See below.

Maybe Mountain House is selling off older stock, hence the shorter shelf life?

Anyway, I'd eat it well beyond 6 years.

IIRC the bags usually only have 6-7 year shelf life vs the container. I thought they had recently done something to the bags that was going to bump the bag shelf life up to 10 yrs.

I picked up one of those 1-2 yrs ago for $39.99 at Costco. Hope we get some in the bay area.
