Not cheap but a good value if you're looking for a heavy Kukri. Blade is D2 tool steel. I bought one of these a few years ago. I tried it out and liked it but didn't use it a lot. When my boys and their cousins got bored at the cabin, I gave this to them to keep em out of my hair and work off some energy by having them try and chop through a large pine log. I didn't realize it, but I was about to put this thing through multiple torture tests. It kept it's edge, the handle held tight to the blade. The only thing I noticed after the abuse was some scuffs on the blade. Not sure if it's pine oil/sap or in the metal. If it's in the metal, I know just a little buffing will take it off. Comes with a nice leather sheath too.
