So the Cera-plate would be more durable than the Cera-hide? Also, and I’m sure I know the answer, but if you ship a complete gun, do they have to ship back to a FFL? If so, what is that process like?

I had a shotgun refinished by them quite a few years back. it still looks brand new and is so easy to clean.

I shipped my gun and they shipped it back to me...but that was many years ago. i'm not knowledgeable in these or any other legal matters, so perhaps best to call them (they're very nice people) just in case anything has changed.

I did just see this noted on their FAQ: CCR is a Federal Firearms Licensed dealer, so you can ship your complete firearm to us yourself. If you ship a complete Handgun you must ship it via UPS or FedEx, Shotguns and Rifles maybe shipped via USPS.
We are also a preferred FFL on ShipMyGun.com, Just follow the directions on their site and select Cummings Custom Refinishing (CCR) to save some money shipping in.
