This is more of a public service note since store stock is variable.
I forgot to ask about thunderbolts yesterday late night as I bought Rem 9mm.
Saw the online "in stock" items for my local store this very early morn.
Casually and grudgingly drove to store at a late 8 AM !
No traffic, no lines at all in store.
Asked clerk for Rem TB.. he went to back to look.
"we only have some 'defective' stuff".... seems like open spilled boxes...(Daly City Dicks-Serramonte)
So I ask if they have ANY 22lr.... he looks in cabinet and says.. nope... I however was also looking behind his back and bending knees a bit for a better look... I see TB box at mid shelf not clearly visible up front.
So I say, "there it is"...
Clerk is dumb founded and searches again and finds what I see.
I say I will take four... The guy next to me says he will take some also... since he also had been asking for anything in 22lr and his clerk said "all gone".
The point is that online you can check the inventory for each store and gamble a trip.
I got lucky. You might also.
BUT you have to push the envelope and pursue your quarry because the clerks often have no idea whats is what.. being over worked etc...

Also if some ammo type is only available in one unit or one bulk unit, the clerk can give you 25% off the single item as a courtesy.
