As some of you guys might know, I am now offering California-Legal SSE Volquartsen and TacSol Ruger MK IV builds. Given the capital required to make these a reality (like having to buy pistols to get the grip frame and bolt), it is not something that EVERYONE wants to jump right into. Totally get it, it is pricey.
After a few emails from customers, I am now going to offer a retrofit program for older Ruger MK pistols. Here is how it is going to work.
1) I send you a USPS Medium Flat-Rate label to you so that you can send your grip frame, bolt and a single magazine to me. These are not regulated components, just pack them up and drop them in the mail with a note.
(As an aside, hot sauce donations would not be unwanted, particularly Mexico Lindo or any other good-quality inexpensive hot sauce but none of that vinegary crap though. Seriously, New Hampshire people are seriously milquetoast when it comes to food and even the Mexican restaurants here are suspect. Like they don't have lengua or cabeza tacos here and just forget about buche. It is a travesty.)
2) I build you the SSE pistol of your choice using a Tactical Solutions Pac-Lite receiver and marked with my manufacturing info (since I am manufacturing from a receiver/frame to a single shot pistol). It will have to be a 6" model and (preferably) black. All Tacsol receivers come with threaded barrels so to make it easy for you guys I will blind pin the thread protector in place. It sounds scary but you won't know unless you look at the business end of the gun that it is pinned and if you ever move to a less oppressive state you can just lathe it off and have functional threads again. It is going to be schnazzy.
3) Once all the work is done, I will send your completed pistol back to your dealer of choice.
When your transfer is done, you will have a perfectly functional, nicely modernized, utterly lightweight and totally cool-as-balls pistol.
