These targets will measure 7"x6". I will be drilling 2- 1/2 holes at the corners of the longer leg so you have a true 6" shooting surface.
(If you prefer only one hole in the center I can make it that way too)

These are 3/8" thick steel A36

I could use a few of these but I worry about this as well. How will they hold up to 223/556

with these swinging on a chain, cable or wire then the rounds fall downward....
I do not recommend these for .223 ill post up some 110 yard impacts. It will dent through and will go through after enough rounds hit in the same spot. Still better than shooting paper and a cheap alternative to AR500 if you wanted to put up multiple targets out.
