Unity Tactical took a novel approach to the slide mounted optic: By custom fabricating a slide that is designed to securely mount an optic as low as possible, secured by a custom adapter plate for each of the most common Mini Red Dot Sights (MRDS).
The ATOM slides provide extremely robust mounting that is as nearly as low as a milled out slide, but the ATOM slides benefit from an additional reinforced cross screw which retains the adapter plate. A couple reasons why this is potentially better than milling out your slide:

The ATOM slides provide extremely robust mounting that is as nearly as low as a milled out slide, but the ATOM slides benefit from an additional reinforced cross screw which retains the adapter plate. A couple reasons why this is potentially better than milling out your slide:
- You don't have to sacrifice one of your OEM slides to get chopped up
- Doesn't remove material where critical tolerances are needed for reinforcement (above the striker channel)
- No need to refinish with meloniting or anodizing to protect newly exposed metal (these methods of refinishing "grow" to cover the surface of the metal and change the dimensions of the slide itself, hardening the surface of the metal but also making it more brittle)
- Swap adapter plates if you want to try out different optics to find the best pairing for your needs
- Fixed BUIS come with the slides
- Available in Black or FDE cerakote
