First Attempt - DIY Grip Texturing the Kel-Tec P11 (& other polymer pews)

I’ve been lurking around here for a while (see years), and after stumbling across this excellent thread on customizing the P11 (link here), I finally decided to dive in and try my hand at grip texturing.

Let’s be honest—the factory grip on the P11 isn’t exactly confidence-inspiring when it comes to control. Mine had a tendency to squirm in the hand, especially during longer range sessions. It just didn’t make for a particularly enjoyable shooter.

So I figured: why not give it a little DIY love?

I’m definitely no pro, and this was my very first attempt at any kind of frame texturing. That said, it turned out better than I expected, and most importantly—it's a night-and-day difference in terms of how it feels.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what I did and how it turned out:

Would love to hear what you all think, especially from others who’ve done texture jobs or modded your P11s in other ways. I’m open to feedback, and if you've got tips to level up my next go at it, I'm all ears.

Let’s see some of your custom work too—whether it’s polished, patched, stippled, or totally tactical.
