What kind of work are you looking for?
I do shotgun barrel work like shortening or choke tube installations as well as most parts replacements like magazine tubes or fire control parts kits.
I don't do wood work or regulate double guns or solder ribs though.

    Most work performed while-you-wait.

As Randall asked- what work? New extractor on a 100 year old gun? Simple recoil pad on a $35K gun?

Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
        (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

bought an old (1966) gun that is marked IC but patterns like a skeet gun, trying to figure out if I should retrofit with screw in chokes or if someone has previously opened it up

IC and skeet are right next to each other.
Measuring only the end of the barrel won't tell you much because choke constriction is based on the bore size.
You need to measure 3-5" down the barrel from the muzzle and then the muzzle to figure out what you have.
I have the proper tools to take these measurements all the way down the barrel.
I also do choke tube installation jobs when appropriate.
