AKbuilder rivets, anyone else notice problems?

Ive noticed problems with the last 5 packs of rivets Ive opened. The heads are not round, long swell neck rivets being larger than 5/32 shanks. Did a under folder today and even the short swell neck shanks were larger than the trunnion holes. Anyone else notice this?

Only issue I had was four missing rivets. Curtis took care of that no problem

The rivets are fine. There are 2 shaft sizes for the AK rivets 4mm and 4.5mm, the long rivets are 4.5mm (11/64") and there are short 4.5mm swell necks, those are generally used on the front trunnion rivet on Bulgy's and Russians.
There is also 4mm swell necks and non swell necks.

          +1 on this^^^^

For the Bulgarain 74 builds there are 2 different sizes for the front trunnion rivets. The long rear trunnion rivets have always been larger.
(through the receiver)I drill .155" for the smaller ones, and .175" for the larger.

The Romys also used the 4.5mm swellneck for the front trunnion.

Typically, depending on the rifle youll use both a 5/32" and #16 drill bits. Im guessing your "larger rivets" would be the #16 size. #16 bits can be found at OSH if anyone is looking for them, tough to find else where.

I just look in my tool box

Please remember McMasterCarr.com Most things they have are not cheep but individual drill bits for stuff like this are around $3 each. I ordered extra length drills to do my gas port $3.50 each I ordered three and they were here the same day. You can pick and choose the quality you want
