Just use a 1/8" square endmill, no need to get fancy, I use a cordless drill and a carbide endmill.

Oh yes I did. I can do it without shattering the endmill, not saying others will or have an endmill last as long as I have. I have a pretty good touch and i've been doing this for a while.
This would be working with metal and using various power equipment.

$35 at a gunsmith is the easiest route in my personal opinion.
