Been up for nearly two months. How bad do you want a different trunnion mark that will get populated with an apex romanian barrel that shoots the same as just about every other home built variant on the market?

        I confess..... I bought one.
Wanted an Izzy to keep my Tula's company. For me at this point it's more about collecting different countries of origin.

I've got 24 hours to kill while it soaks in its oil bath, then its time to hammer it out! Feels longer than a 10 day wait......

Can you post some pics of your kit when you get it?

Promised pictures of one of these kits when it arrived.
I have seen 2 of them, and both in similar condition.
Numbers matching (except recoil spring), and bolt appears unfired.

Because of the refurb, which likely happened in a major arsenal, you will find over stamped parts. A lot of force matchings. Recoil rods are almost always struck off. Some parts belong to different era. Some are a mix between Tula and Izzy - which simply translates into the kit being not "correct" when it comes to Russian Collecting.

For some people it is good to go as the refurb itself was at an Arsenal. Some find this kit collectible as it. It all depends on the level you roll.

I cannot justify the aggravation/excitement of getting a kit and then chasing after trying to get it correct. But its not a big deal.
Not to mention, any possibility of calling it "correct" is out the window when there's no OEM bbl.
