Why not just buy 10 round magpuls. The extra length of 20 round mags is useless and just gets in the way. The new regs are unclear on what constitutes a "permanently blocked mag". Rivets may not be enough. As you may know bringing an unblocked mag or improperly blocked mags capable of holding more than 10 rounds can be prosecuted as a felony in CA.If you find yourself in a fair fight, you're doing it all wrong.
