anyone have one I can borrow for 5 minutes? I bought an older set up and the castle nut notches are spaced further apart than my newer model nuts and the 3 prong tool will not align with. I am in Carlsbad.

AR castle nut tool-old style in SD

Are you talking about the barrel nut? If so, be careful and go slowly, I stripped the threads on mine and it was a real pain getting it off. Had to cut the delta ring off too in order to remove it. -
research has provided me-I have an old style nut and it is on backwards. The notches face the endplate for staking and there are no notches for tightening other than the hols in the nut. I still do need the 1 prong tool though.
