Handgun training in the San Francisco Bay Area Feb 23rd

Come get better at shooting with us.

Shooting is fun. It's more fun if you're good. Our Pistol Principles program is designed for anyone who'd like to get serious about their shooting.

What we are not: tactical fantasy band camp.

What we are: committed to showing our students how to be safe, accurate and fast with a handgun.

Our lead instructor is a former SWAT cop and current USPSA Master class shooter, so what we teach is not theoretical.

    Pistol Principles 2
    Sunday, May 26th
Prerequisites: basic pistol course from recognized organization/instructor.
    Solid gun handling skills.

Now with more pew! This is an all new program, so if you have taken PP2 from us before this will have different content.

Taking over from what we covered in PP1 with further emphasis on the fundamentals of marksmanship. Accuracy at 5-20 yards with working on getting you to get accurate shots in half second cadences.

    Pistol Principles 3
    Saturday, July 13th

Prerequisites: basic pistol course from recognized organization/instructor.
Solid gun handling skills and marksmanship.

Formerly PP2, this course covers accuracy at distance, different sighting options for targets of varying difficulty, target transitions, and movement.

    Pistol Principles 1
    Saturday, October 26th.

    Prerequisites: none.

This is the starting place for anyone who wants to get good at shooting, even if you have taken a course from somewhere else. We cover safety, the draw and a very heavy emphasis on the fundamentals of marksmanship.

Classes are being held outdoors on action pistol bay 5 at the Richmond Rod and Gun Club, which is 40 minutes north of San Francisco. Classes will convene rain or shine.

    *T3 Pros FAQs*

Q: "What is the background of the instructor?"
A: Lead instructor is a former SWAT cop and current USPSA Master class shooter.

Q: "Are these tactical or competition oriented classes?"
A: These are "get good at shooting" classes. How you apply those skills is up to you.

Q: "I've never been to a shooting class before, is it run like a boot camp or police academy?"
A: You are treated like students and clients, not like soldiers or cadets. We want everyone to have fun while they're learning.

Q: "How much is the range fee?"
A: Range fee is included in the ticket price.

Q: "How much of the class is spent shooting?"
A: Approximately 1 hour of seated lecture, the rest of the time the class will be broken into 2 groups alternating on the firing line.

Q: "I'm not ready to take a class yet, I need to practice more first. Will you be doing the same classes next year?"
A: Pistol Principles 1 is a fundamentals class, there are no prerequisites. Practicing on your own without guidance could be reinforcing poor habits or techniques that you will have to unlearn later.
