    45 ACP

Took the 1911 to the range today and shot my reloads, not one problem, the cast were re sized to .451 this is what the Lyman book said, no leading just started loading 45ACP. I have read other people posts saying to re size to .452 I have 200 bullets I casted at .452 , what should I do?

If you really got zero leading, then .451 works fine in your barrel.
But I'm sure .452 would work fine as well. And I'm sure I was one of those guys that said leave them at .452

What kind of gun and what kind of powder did you use if you don't mind me asking?

I'm betting it was a pretty fast powder...

Slug your barrel. Drive a soft bullet down the barrel. cast bullets should be .001 over groove
      Just shoot them

Zero lead? Don't change a thing, ever.

Your barrel may slug a tad on the small side. My 1911 barrel slugs at .4505.

Glad they worked! Welcome to the world of cheap ammo. Pretty soon you'll be hoarding lead and buying molds to start casting your own!

            1) Slug your barrel. Best bullets will almost always be AT LEAST 0.001" over groove diameter.
            2) I stopped sizing my cast bullets some time in the late '70s or early '80s. All I do is tumble lube and shoot. I ran tests and my as-cast bullets were always either as accurate or more accurate than my sized bullets. Back then, I pan lubed.
            3) If your lead bullets work well, you are doing some thing right.
            4) For lead bullets in .45 Auto, try 231/HP38 and/or AA2 powder. Other possibilities are Solo 1000, Red Dot, and Clays.

So you shoot .454" bullets through your semi auto 45?

                Yes I have.
I have been shooting as-cast and pan-lubed or tumble-lubed bullets for decades.
