    match grade ammo is expensive. cheap and match grade in the same sentence for .308 does not exist.

    i recommend federal gold medal match or black hills. 168 hpbt bullet versions. save your brass, and sell them to someone. check out ammo brothers.

    the best alternative is to start reloading! only way of shooting large quanitites of .308 match grade ammo without having to have a "car" type budget to shoot your favorite .308 precision rifle.

      If you give Precision Arms in Escondido a call, they might be able to help.

      I'd go with either FGMM (Federal Gold Medal Match) or Black Hills in 168 or better yet 175gr rounds.

        Ammo Bros stocks FGMM (what pete recommended), sometimes Turners will get Black Hills and I believe the Stockade in Westminster and Fowler's stocks federal. It won't be cheap.

          Cheap.
          Available.
          Match Grade.

          Pick any two.

            "cheap" is such a dirty 5 letter word when it comes to match grade- sounds sooo getto!
            let just call is "discounted".
            I was hoping to find some place that have acouple different brands ex: Remington, Black Hill, Hornady. maybe 1x box each & try what shoots best out of my rifle.

              "Ammo" and "Discounted" (or "cheap") just DO NOT exist anymore... after 1/1/2008

              You would need to expect $1-$1.5 a round for match grade .308.... if you can even FIND them.

              *sigh*

                  At that price, it's worth loading new cases.
                  Seems you could load new Nosler brass with 168 SMK's for $116 per 100.
                  It would cost $42 to reload the cases next time.

                  Start saving brass!
