    338 Load development

Got the first round of 20 set up for testing. I am starting with 88gr going up to 91.5 of H 1000 pushing a 300gr SMK. The other round is 308 for comparison.

Nice! If you were closer I'd give you the handfull of 338 once fired cases I picked up @ the range & tumbled.

Tell the truth, do you use a shoulder pad when you shoot that behemoth?
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.

With 300s I use 87 grains of RL-25. With hotter loads I get a sticky bolt, especially in summer time.

recoil is really a non factor! Range report to follow, it was shooting sub moa with factory Hornady 250gr ammo. I am really looking forward to shooting these hand loads. All shots at 300 yards.
