    Cardboard oatmeal containers work well.

Big Lots have shoebox Sterilite brand plastic containers for $1 each. The stack well and I have a 8'long 5 shelf rack which I stach them 3 high and 2 deep on 5 shelves(actually taller on top shelf) I label each box as to new/used and cartridge. For my 50bmg brass I use a larger container like the above ones.
I sort and dump un-tumbled brass into them and clean or primed brass is in baggies in them.

I also use the big round plastic ice cream tubs for sorting brass and to pick up brass at the range. Sometimes I use a 5 gallon bucket for picking up range brass.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

Similar here, then from there into the tumbler (2-3 hrs), then sizing, trimming, primer pocket cleaning, etc. then back to tumbler(a good 7-8 hrs), then into "Crown Royal bags" and then into another plastic box to wait for priming/loading. I love those bags because they don't attract moisture, I have 8 so far and waiting on 4 more. (Mother in law is a bartender so easy to aquire)

Before tumbling: large freezer-style ziplock bags

After tumbling: I like those large, clear plastic containers that cookies and candy come in, the kind with the screw-top lids

The plastic lunch meat containers made by Hillshire Farm (and others) work perfectly to hold my brass until it gets processed. Costco sells a large size I can't find in the supermarket.

One of those 5 gallon orange buckets from Home Depot. You can add a lid for $1. Then they go on the side of the house.

The five gallon bucket houses all before sorting; range brass, etc. They then get sorted out to dollar store ziplock bags to be tumbled (eventually) in lots. Afterward, they are stored in Folgers plastic coffee tubs which wait to be loaded at some point in time.

I always have a couple plastic shopping bags in my range gear. Toss all the brass together, then deprime and into the tumbler when I get home. Then it gets sorted by caliber (and brand if more than one of same caliber), put into ziplock bags and then into separate ammo cans for later reloading.
