Greetings all,
I am interested in possibly building up my own 1911 and wanted to know first and most importantly, can I legally purchase a handgun frame in California (even if I were to purchase it from a source outside of California, and have it shipped to myself or an FFL)? Second, what are my sources for purchasing a frame...who sells them and are there any online retailers?
Any direction or help you can offer would be greatly appreciated!!! I have never built a firearm before, but am relatively mechanically inclined and am quite curious about the assembly.
