Separate priming tool with a Forester Co-Ax?

Do I still need a separate priming tool if I'm using a Forester Co-Ax press? Would not consider a hand held, maybe a RCBS bench mount? Opinions? Thanks

The Co-Ax has a build in priming device. I'm not sure what your asking. Are you looking for another priming tool instead of the build in one?

Just wondering if it works really well. You know how some of the "built in features" are not as good as a stand alone? That's what I'm asking. Forester makes a stand alone so that's why I'm checking. Maybe it has something to do with having one piece of equipment for one job and not having to switch out on modes. I'm a rookie so I'm going to be asking some rookie questions. Thanks

The Co-Ax priming system works fine but is a little slow and as you know you prime on top of the press. I like my RCBS bench mounted Automatic primer sitting just to the left of my Co-Ax. It's a great tool with just the right amount of feel and leverage to prime cases. A lot of people use hand held priming tools. I haven't tried them and don't want to be squeezing with my hands. The RCBS bench mounted Automatic Priming tool is a little expensive but worth it in my opinion.

See that's what I was asking. Makes sense to have a separate unit, then the work flows mo' betta.

The RCBS you have is this one? http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct...tNumber=457599

Ok, I see what your saying. The co-ax priming system works just fine but as stated it is a little slow. When you find the need to speed up your reloading time than yes get a standalone primer. The forester primer seater looks very nice as well.

The built in primer works good enough for me so I'm happy with it.

I never liked priming on the press. Handheld gives much better feedback.

When I load progressively or on the Classic Turret, I prime on the press, and it works just fine. However, when I load single-stage, I use the Lee Auto-Prime. Inexpensive and does a very good job if you don't get meat-fisted with it.
