    Brass recyclers

Is there somewhere in San Jose that takes brass for recycle? What is the refund amount?

I've actually been meaning to ask this question too. Can anyone tell me where I can lose my dead brass in the SFV/burbank-ish area?

Yeah, unless the cases are defective, you can sell them for more than scrap value or trade with someone who could use it, for their worn brass.

I collect the brass I find on BLM land. I have no idea if any of it is reloadable or not. I'm sure some of it is but I throw all of it in a bucket and save it until I have enough to take to the recycler. My goal is to save enough brass and cans to fund another OLL build. If anyone wants to look through my bucket of brass for something they can use, you're more than welcome.

the brass I'm getting rid of is either used almost to the point of failure, or corrosive berdan primed that I've pulled down. thus the need for recycling.

There is Sims Metals on Monterey Rd in San Jose. They take all kinds of scrap metal. Market prices.
I also have had good luck at Aaron Metals in Oakland.

San Ferando Road has many places after you get to Sun Valley I think you could trip over them.
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

i pretty much have two buckets going. One for boxer primed, one for berdan primed. Once the buckets are full, i'll offer up the boxer primed brass for sale (and the 7.5 swiss, some people reload the berdan cases). After that, it's off the to recycling plant...

I've started saving my bad brass. Cases I don't feel are safe to reload any more. When I shoot my 22LR's I sweep up the cases and add them to the bucket. Keeps the shooting area clean and adds a little to my ammo fund.
