I'm a bit pokey on my target rounds. I use a RCBS powder throw & then trickle in the difference to get my ideal wt. Don't seem to be able to get the powder throw set to a consistant wt., I'm happy with. I only shoot a few hundred rifle rounds a year compared to the thousands I shoot with a handgun. Hence the 2 XL 650's on the bench.

Before my chargemaster, I would only load 5 to 10 rounds for testing purposes before I would be fed up with weighing charges.
Now, I don't even flinch at loading 100 rounds with weighed charges.
    +1

It's so fast you barely have enough time to seat the bullet. The scale is waiting on you, not the other way around.

That sounds slow to me, but I run a chargemaster and an arbor press...

If the cases are sized and primed, I charge and seat about 150 per hour.
This is with every charge weighed.

I picked up a manual case trimmer & powder trickler on ebay, cheap. I recommend the tool that lets you measure your chamber, so you can seat the bullets just off the barrel lands. Sinclair Intl & Stoneyford make them.

If you have some time this week, you are welcome to come over in the evening & check out my set up.
I will take you up on that offer, it will be next week some time, i am leaving to Silver Lake to go camping in the morning and be back on friday. Just the boys going camping, should be a good time. I'll PM you this weekend, thanks again!

That's why I have two separate lists in my tacked thread above, the good stuff and the cheap stuff...

I bought the same kit recently and have loaded a few hundred rounds and couldn't be happier. Its a little slow going at first but once you know what youre doing it gets much easier. The only thing you need that doesn't come with that kit is a pilot for the case trimmer, (you'll need one for each different caliber), and possibly an auto prime shell holder (the kit comes with 11 common ones but not all cartridges are supported so make sure yours is). Other than that you should be good to go unless i'm forgetting something. Good luck!

Don't buy kits. Buy individual tools that are the best at what they do. Each manufacturer has a tool that is superior to others, but none of the major manufacturers offer a line of tools that is superior to all others. I only buy the best and have tools from Lee, Redding, RCBS, Neil Jones, Meecham, Sinclair, etc. Take the time to learn and evaluate before you buy, else you'll end-up replacing most of them.
