Good BOOK for a Beginner loading HANDGUN?

    Hey guys,

I'm getting ready to setup my first progressive - Lee Load Master.
Can anyone suggest a solid book and reference for loading 9mm/45acp?

I have some Titlegroup and BE-86 powder, and plan on using SPP and trying SRP.
    thanks!

The lee load manual will show you everything you need to know. Reading those chapters answers all of your questions. Handgun, bolt rifle and semi auto rifle loading, shows you how to do it all. When I was getting started I didn't believe that it would until I did.

Lot of idiots on youtube. I second start by reading through a Lee manual.

Yup, the Lee manual is organized poorly IMO, but has most everything you need to know.

Also, attending a reloading clinic is a MUST.

Absolutely they work, IF a person reads them. If a person is just starting out reloading and they don't have someone to tudor them, these books can offer lots of good and safe information. B

Since you’re going with a Load Master, can’t go wrong with Lee Reloading manual. Once you read the chapters on reloading, then binge on You Tube videos.

You can download the Lee manual and many others from this link. Lots of caliber specific data also. It's all free by the way.

Lee manual is good, I would not trust YouTube for reload if you don’t know what’s going on.

No it's not a MUST, while it may be helpful you'll do just fine following instructions and knowing how and when to use your tools.

I'd gladly trust even the Lee Reloading manual over 99% of the reloading Yahoo's on YT.

Youtube is 1% solid gold for reloading information. Without hands-on reloading experience the newbie
has no frame of reference. Therefore, the possibility of the OP discovering or determining the value
of that 1% is unlikely at best.

A number of good reloading books have been mentioned.

The key is to read them. Not browse, but read.

Speer. Lyman, ABC's, all good manuals.

I way trust the manuals more than most Youtube's. Unless, it is Lee, RCBS, Hornady etc videos.

The lyman pdf is available online for free download. I've never paid for a reloading book because all the info is out there for free. Browse thru this manual and then apply what you learned by watching youtube instructional/tutorials to see how well you understand the process. As for load data, use the lyman book I mentioned or google searches for more references.
