So my question is -
What is the difference in the red shell and gray shell?
I have a Winchester 1300 with rifled barrel and been shooting the red shells for some time. Well today I was looking at the shell and noticed that the slug looked rifled. I also gave some gray ones that I can't tell it they are rifled or not.
I know its bad to shoot a rifled slug through a rifled barrel, or have I been misled on this? I know this sounds like a complete noobie question, but I'm no such thing. Its just that for years I have been using ammo that has been given to me by a family members, and never had a problem until today, when I looked closely at the slug itself. It seems, and feels that I have been shooting the wrong ammo through my Winchester. If so....man I feel
