Has anyone ever experimented with hand loaded sabot rounds?
I've thought about it. Or more specifically I've thought about how or if it would work.
What I'm thinking is just a way to shoot different caliber bullets in different caliber casings. Obviously it'll only work one way in that smaller bullets always have to go into larger casings.
Imagine how it would work firing a .22 bullet from a .45ACP casing with a powder charge for a 45 caliber 230grn bullet. How would the ballistics work. Would it just end up flying all over?
