    .357 Sig Reloading Recipe

I am planning to start reloading .357 Sig calibre. Please share your thoughts and suggestions for 115/124/147 gr. bullets. Also, the load you have settled for. Thanks.

I like a lot of Longshot in the 115 grain and I use midrange CFE in the 125 loads. Be safe.

Don't use standard thin plated bullets.

Double or thick plated bullets seem to work at moderate speeds. I have not tried them at full pressure.

      Jacketed bullets are better.

If you are planning to use plated instead of jacketed bullets, I suggest you use the heavier 147gr. If you use the lighter 115 or 124gr plated, it can shed the plating due to the high speed.

I use the Powerbond 147gr plated flat nose with Accurate Arms #9 for my 357 Sig loads

Do you have any 9mm bullets now? Which ones? Flat points work better than round nose due to the bearing surface of the bullet profile. There is not much neck to work with on the 357 Sig case so a bullet with more straight wall is easier to work with.
What do you want to do with the rounds that you are making? Plinking/target or hollow points for SHTF?
What powders do you have in hand? If we know some details, we can help you out a bit more.
Barnes TAC-XP and Hornady XTP or HAP bullets work well in 357 Sig but you will be paying more for them.
You can get the 115 grain variety to some pretty high velocities. The 124 gr/125 gr bullets are the weight the cartridge was designed for.
