Most UNUSUAL problem with email

Suddenly, when my sister sends out an email it has an attachment to download. When it's clicked on to download, it shows MY downloaded files! Things like my CC statements, photos that I've downloaded YEARS ago and other stuff.
I was able to go to the download file with hitting the windows key + E and I deleted everytihing. I am sure this will probably cause even more problems for me later...

At this time I do not know if this shows on every email she sends out, or (hopefully) it's just when she sends one to me.

Of course we have no idea how this happened or how to correct it

Doe's anyone have any idea on how to correct this?

Sounds like it's just showing you your last save location?

Oh no, nothing like that. It just shows the regular way a download file is shown on the outlook email and, like I say, it opens MY download folder. I checked with a couple people my sister sent emails to and it doesn't appear on those. only on mine. Very weird.... and disturbing.

Because it wasn't "unknown". As I said, it came from my sister. It's very strange. No one I've talked to has ever heard anything like it happening before.

Need to know more info like what kind of attachment. Could be a script or a link to your Download folder.

If you weren't expecting it then it was unknown. Very real chance you downloaded something malicious that was embedded in her email to trick you into clicking on it from a "known" person/source.

I'm confused. Are you SHARING a laptop with your sister? WTF "shares" any PCs unless its like the thingy that the guys check into at the loading dock or something?

Does this happen with other attachments by sis? Sounds like maybe your old stuff is in a folder that is being included in her attachments. Like she is making new attachments on "top" of your old files. Your old files folder became her default "new document" she opens to create an attachment.

PS-IIRC Huma and Soros's son are now married....and "sex addict" and dick-pic emailer to underage girls Anthony "The Weiner" AKA Carlos Danger and HUNTER BIDEN are "bros"! Hunter seems to be "testing the waters", for some elected office, so I guess he could use a seasoned political advisor like Carlos Danger.

Sounds like the attachment is a shortcut to your downloads folder. Pretty easy to form if your username is known.

Is says "img" before a bunch of numbers if that means anything?

It's even more odd. I am using Windows, she's using a MAC. She has sent me a card to download she designed once. At this time it looks like, when she sends emails to multiple people, ithe download ONLY shows up in mine. It helps but it's still kinda scary knowing it will show my downloaded tax info etc. I am constantly deleting my download files now.

WHen she returns out from out of town I am soing to see if a MAC has a "search" feature and maybe I can delete the whole thing that way.

Have you gotten rid of any One Drive on PC? From comments on Reddit, etc, seems One Drive can and will do just about anything, anytime it wants, and is extremely buggy. Doesn't just secretly erase files, if it deigns to let you see them again, they might have "issues".

Thanks Big. No (at least as far as I know) I havent purposely done anything like that. My current thot is, once my sisters' back in town Im going to see if we can find this file on her computer. As it does not seem to mail this download to anyone else, even when she emails to me and includes others, THEY don't get this download. So Im not as concerned as at was at first, just very, very puzzled.

I'm sure a lot of you guys have not been able to sleep worrying about my situation. Well, at least it's been somewhat "solved". My sister had changed her logo at the end of her email and for some ungodly reason, this is what caused this "download" of my downlload list to appear on emails she'd sent me. Once she removed this logo, this download stopped showing up.

How strange is that.... Ok, now you go get a good nights sleep.
