    I thought CA was crazy

Live in Michigan? Possibly say bye-bye to VPNs.

Michigan representatives just proposed a bill to ban many types of internet content, as well as VPNs that could be used to circumvent it. Here's what we know.

So...A proposed bill in Michigan has a broad reach that covers everything from adult AI content to manga and even depictions of transgender people. It includes a VPN ban to avoid workarounds.

This may be a good thing! Netflix will be a thing of the past in Michigan! 😂

The protectorate of all things online is California, not Michigan.

Come and take it. There are too many ways to deploy a VPN to prevent detection. Software developers will just market better VPNs. Repressive countries like China fight a continuous battle to block VPNs, only to find secure connections squirting through their firewall.

This law as proposed is a direct violation of the First Amendment. There are plenty of cases that address it. The best they can do is require proof of age, after that they are SOL content wise..
