Need Help...New PC build and GPU FAIL!!!

    SOLVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    hey guys and gals..

I decided to build a new PC for 2 reasons...1) the one I am on now is outdated and will be best served as an internet PC. 2) I am a BIG battlefield FPS guy and well see above...

    Spec's:

    MB-Asus M5A88-M AM3+ 880G DDR3 2000 O.C Sata 6g....yada yada
    CPU-AMD Phenom ll X4 975 Black 3.6G 8MB Cache
    RAM-Corsair Vengeance 2x4G DDR3 1600
HDD-SG Barracuda 1Tb (transplant, wiped before install)
PSU-Antec EarthWatts EA-650 GREEN 650W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply
    Optics-Who Cares...
    Case -CoolMaster
    OS-Win 7 64B
    GPU-XFX Radeon HD 6850

So here is the problem...I built the PC and gave it the initial boot....no problem, booted up into BIOS..installed W7 64Bit (didn't run updates yet) Disabled on board GPU...shut it down and put in the new GPU...

Trouble begins here (and I know there are some BF3 Guys and Gals here so HELP OUT PLEASE)

Boots up..Log onto desktop..Put in disk to install 6850...installs CCC and drivers to latest version...asked to restart...I did..

NOW NO WORKY...boots fine, log on fine, but right away I get a freeze, black screen, refresh, and message.

AMD Driver has stoped responding and has recovered from an error (either exactly or something very close to that)

I have tried just about everthing, and I have searched and searched and have found I am not the only one with the problem..anyone here experience this...with an ATI card 5000 or 6000 series and Windows 7 64b

    Thanks

    Jake
