It's part what you're going to be using the mouse for, but mostly personal preference.
If you're going to be using the mouse for normal daily use (browsing, light office work), you can't go wrong with the many Logitech combos. I love the cheap wireless combo from Logitech that Walmart/Amazon carries.
For gaming though, you're going to want something more responsive...Razer makes good (but pricey!) gear.

You like Ford or Chevy?
What are you using it for? Whats your carpal tunnel situation like? What kind of surface are you mousing on?
At work I use a thumb trackball because I use a big 4K TV and it wears you out swiping a mouse around. At home for gaming I use wired optical sensor mouses (laser sucks, wireless lags... anyone who says it doesn't is lying or doesnt know what they are talking about)
We let our CAD guys choose between a basic Logitech M500, G502, or M570. Some guys bring in these weird pistol grip shark fin looking things they seem to like.Leave a comment:

I prefer wired, but "Logitech" always made some good stuff that lasts YEARS for a measly sub-$15. I just with I could get a buckling-spring KB for under $100 w/ PS/2 (I STILL haven't upgraded to a USB KVM... yet, and my new i7 board still has 2 of these ports..).I've found the larger, Logitec Wireless mouse for $14, is the best all around mouse for me. I make sure I get the universal ones with the little orange and black "star" on the bottom. You can sync up to six mice, on one fob.
I buy them from WalMart, and haven't killed one yet.Leave a comment:

A lot of factors go into this. Which device(s) will it be used on? Wireless or wired? Is space a consideration if you are carrying it. Do you have giant paws?Leave a comment:
