Gunfighter Tactical Takes a Stand, no special sales to LEOs

A San Diego gunstore is actually refusing to sell off-roster and standard cap mags to LEOs. Will other stores have the balls to also put their money where their mouth is?

With the HUGE dip in sales most FFL's will see post SSE, I doubt many gun shops will follow. Especially all the new shops that opened in 2013/2014 & cashed in on the SSE craze. They're going to need all the sales they can get to keep the doors open.

I agree that it's unfair & absolutely ridiculous that we "chosen ones" are able to buy guns that aren't available to all Californians. That being said, PPT's from LEO's used to be the most common way to legally obtain an off roster handgun. It wasn't all that long ago, but I guess a lot of members here started buying handguns after SSE became the norm.

Yeah, Gunfighter is literally surrounded by competing gun stores. Stuff like this can't be ignored from a business and marketing standpoint.

Well maybe Gunfighter should offer free or discounted PPT services to LEOs as a way to still support them and get offroster guns in the hands of civs?

Kudos to them. Outstanding! Somebody willing to stand up for the little guy. That's really saying something about them. They're one of only a handful of stores across the country doing this.

My first thought is that they didn't have many LEO sales to begin with and this is just marketing.

Regardless, I appreciate their effort and wish more gun stores would do the same.

Yeah this is the same as online stores refusing to sell to CA residents.

You know, punishing the entire lot of us because of the anti-2a politicians and laws we didn't vote for. But its ok to punish all LEO because of the anti-2a unions or chiefs that a lot of LEO don't even agree with?

Most LEO's aren't "gun people", so they probably don't have stacks of off roster guns in their safes right now. What I meant, is that if they stop selling them to LEO's, there won't be many for those LEO's to PPT.

I know it's a broken system, but I don't think this will have much of an affect on the effort to get rid of the roster. Like I said, most LEO's aren't "gun people", so I don't see them crying too hard about it. Now if the manufacturers would stop renewing their rostered guns, we'd be EXTREMELY limited on what handguns we could purchase. In that case we'd have a much stronger argument for how the stupid Roster infringes on the second ammendment.

did they not file with the DOJ for their standard cap permit?

I dont think restricting gun sales to someone else helps me at all. Sounds like privately imposed gun restrictions.

Hows that supposed to help us?
